This course is taught by Father Patrick Cheng. A video of the first session is available above.
Over the course of five weeks, we will look at the biblical and liturgical texts of the “Our Father” prayer and examine its meaning for us today.
During the first class we learned about the different versions of the prayer (Matthew, Luke, Didache, Vulgate, BCP). We also engaged in a close reading of the Greek, Latin, and English texts of the phrase “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.”
Please feel free to share the above link with any others who might be interested. All are welcome to join us for suture classes. If you are a first-timer, please RSVP by clicking here. If you would like more information about this class, please email Fr. Cheng.
