Immaculate Heart of Mary

Immaculate Heart of Mary

Father, you prepared the heart of the Virgin Mary to be a fitting home for your Holy Spirit. By her prayers may we become a more worthy temple of your glory. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Please note: The Puerto Rican Day Parade is this Sunday, June 9, and the route is along 5th Avenue. A representative from our Security Team will meet parishioners coming from the east side at 5th and 53rd and escort them across 53rd. Those coming from the west side will have no problem coming up 53rd Street from 6th Avenue. The Q train is also an ideal way of getting from the upper east side to Church; get off at 57th & 7th Ave.  If you stay at the back of the train, you will be close to 55th Street and that part of the station is wheelchair accessible to the sidewalk.

At noon on Mondays through Saturdays we offer audio webcasts of Shrine Prayers at Our Lady of Fifth Avenue prior to a celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the Chantry Chapel. We invite you to join us in worship by making an act of spiritual communion, sending us a prayer request, or by purchasing a candle to be lit at the shrine.

My Jesus,
I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things,
and I desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive you sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you.
Amen.
