The Sunday Recital Series is free and open to the public. Usually starting at approximately 5:15pm, it follows the 4pm service on most Sundays during the academic term. The use of cameras and recording devices is strictly prohibited during the performance.

About the Artist

Dr. Seung-Hee Cho is an avid concert organist and veteran choral and orchestral music conductor. With a keen eye for adapting her approach to a plethora of traditional and modern selections, she has performed at numerous venues including Princeton University, Boardwalk Hall, Longwood Garden, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral (NYC).

She holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music and additional post-doctorate studies in choral and orchestral conducting. During these years, she has had the immense privilege of studying with an incredible roster of artists. On the organ side, this includes Russell Saunders, Michael Farris, David Higgs, and Gerre Hancock; on the conducting side, this includes Mendi Rodan, William Weinert, Neil Varon, and Michael Mitchell.

A true native of liturgical music, Cho has spent over 25 years as a church organist or Director of Music at several churches. Currently, she has taken up the Minister of Music and Organist position at the beautiful, historic landmark of Christ Church New Brunswick. Here, she has upheld and elevated Christ Church's long-running music traditions by directing three separate choirs, a group of handbell ringers, and a rotating contingent of top-tier guest artists and performers in an intricate balancing act of pure artistry, charismatic poise, and down-to-earth organizational pragmatism.

Truly committed to her art, she is passionate about creating music that transcends the secular to bring those around her to a higher connection with God and people. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loving family, watching Korean-American television, and unwinding in gardens and other natural settings.
