If we take a positive view of something Saint Jerome said a long time ago, we might say, familiarity with scripture helps us to become more familiar with Jesus. To that end, each Friday we offer a straight-forward Bible study.

A book by Roger Ferlo will be the topic for six weeks beginning Friday, March 4. Ferlo’s book is a fascinating account of how the Bible came to be what we now see on the page, and is intended to help readers deepen their understanding and appreciation of our sacred texts. Participants are urged to acquire the book in advance and begin reading. Also recommended is “The New Oxford Annotated Bible”. Both books are readily available online.
