Choir Camp is a special day for children to come and experience music at Saint Thomas Church. We will explore singing and music together through games, classes, rehearsals, and hands on music making activities!

Come learn about our 9am parish children’s choir, the Noble Singers, and other opportunities for children in our worship and Sunday School spaces. Sit in the choir stalls and sing with our organ and learn about how music fits into our worship and daily lives at Saint Thomas Church!

All children ages 5-14 are welcome!

Morning

  • 9:45am-10:00am – Arrive and Drop-off children at the Sunday School Room on the 3rd Floor of the Parish House
  • 10:00am – Welcome/ Musical Games and Activities with Mrs. K-F
  • 10:45am – Break/Snack
  • 11:00am –Rehearsal #1 (Sunday School Room)
  • Explore and sing our upcoming Sunday Music:
    • Saint Thomas Mass
    • Taizé Songs / Hymns
    • Anthems

Afternoon

  • 12:15pm – Lunch –Andrew Hall
  • 1:00pm – Church Scavenger Hunt!
    • Learn about being an Acolyte
    • Learn about our Reredos
    • Sign-up to be a reader
  • 1:45pm – Rehearsal #2 (in the Choir Stalls)
    • Review what we did in the morning session
    • Sing with the organ!
  • 3:00pm – Show and Tell (in the Choir Stalls): parents/Caregivers/Friends are welcome to join us in the Choir Stalls as we share the music and concepts we learned throughout the day!
  • 3:30 pm – Family Reception in the Dining Room and Living Room
