Nicolas Haigh, organist

Organist Nicolas Haigh kicks off the 2025-2026 Grand Organ Series with a program of works by Baroque composers Nicolaus Bruhns, Vincent Lübeck, and Johann Sebastian Bach. Bruhns and Lübeck were notable performers in the ‘Stylus Fantasticus’ tradition; their works fully exploited the sonic and technical possibilities of the North German style of organ building. Although few compositions by Bruhns and Lübeck have survived to this day, their compositions heavily influenced the young J.S. Bach.
