The Eighth Sunday After Pentecost

The Eighth Sunday After Pentecost

O God, the protector of all that trust in thee, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us thy mercy; that, thou being our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we finally lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Proper 12)

We invite those of you watching this service online to invite Jesus into your hearts during Holy Communion by making an Act of Spiritual Communion.

<!–At noon on Mondays through Saturdays we offer Shrine Prayers at Our Lady of Fifth Avenue, sent to us via our website, prior to a celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the Chantry Chapel. These services are audio live-streamed and then available on-demand. We invite you to send us your requests and join us in worship either in-person or online.–>

My Jesus,
I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things,
and I desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive you sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you.
Amen.
