Dear Rev. Canon Turner,
Thank you so much for your communication, kind words and prayers. This is an unprecedented crisis which has affected the whole country. Of course, Gazans have suffered more than anybody else. Unfortunately, our Gaza Hospital is not functional, and it has sustained some damage the extent of which remains unclear. Of course, we are waiting for a window of opportunity to go out and provide care to so many displaced people in Gaza. We have plans in place to respond to the backlog of patients once this unfolding crisis is over!
I am pleased to report that all our staff remain safe, most of them have fled the city and moved to the south of the Gaza Strip.
As always, we are most grateful to you for the ongoing support to our humanitarian mission in the Holy Land and we always turn to you and to all our supports at the Global St. John Family during difficult times.
Let’s all pray this crisis comes to its end after which, there is so much humanitarian work that we all need to undertake and try to bring healing and hope to devastated communities.

A prayer from Archbishop Hosam Naoum, Archbishop of Jerusalem
O God of all justice and peace, we cry out to you in the midst of the pain and trauma of violence and fear which prevails in the Holy Land. Be with those who need you in these days of suffering; we pray for people of all faiths – Jews, Muslims and Christians and for all people of the land. While we pray to you, O Lord, for an end to violence and the establishment of peace, we also call to you to bring justice and equity to the peoples. Guide us into your kingdom where all people are treated with dignity and honour as your children – for to all of us you are our Heavenly Father. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
