The 2008 Every Member Canvass has had another record-breaking year and is now over $1,250,000. Thank you so much to all who have pledged thus far. However, we have still not reached our goal of $1,500,000. If you have not yet pledged, won’t you consider doing so? Only with your help, can Saint Thomas Church and Choir School continue in its distinctive mission to worship, love and serve Our Lord Jesus Christ through the Anglican tradition and its unique choral heritage.
In his recent
Chronicle, the Rector has written “The Rector, Wardens and Vestry are now carefully counting the cost of what is required to sustain and advance our mission here as the one hundredth anniversary of our magnificent church building approaches.” What we see and much of what we hear was paid for by parishioners who have long since passed away. As current parishioners who have benefited from the generosity and foresight of those who have gone before us, we have a unique opportunity to make our own investment in the future of Saint Thomas Church and our splendid choral tradition.

While pledges, plate offerings and other gifts, concert ticket sales and tuition have continued to increase, income and principal from our Invested Funds will support over 70% of the operating budgets of the Church and Choir School. The Vestry has set a goal that by 2010, pledges, which now provide a little over 11% of the annual budget, will provide 25%. To accomplish this, we ask for your generous support to reach $1,500,000 for EMC 2008. Let us see if we can make this great stride this year. Your generous contributions are very much appreciated.
